Why does Wasim Jaffer want Rahul Dravid not to be the coach of Team India?

here are many Indian cricket fans who dream that Rahul Dravid becomes the all-time head coach of the Indian cricket team. The dream of all those people is true but coming true for the short term. Under the coaching of Rahul Dravid, the Indian ODI and T20 team is on a tour of Sri Lanka. But there is such a former player of India who thinks differently from all these fans.

The name of that player is Wasim Jaffer. Jaffer says that after the Sri Lanka series, Rahul Dravid should turn back to his same responsibilities, which he has been performing brilliantly before.

Jaffer talked about this in a video of his YouTube channel and said,

“Rahul Dravid may have gone as the head coach of the team on this Sri Lankan tour. Of course our team will benefit a lot from this. But I believe that after the series, Rahul should not think of becoming the head coach of the Indian senior team.

I think Dravid should continue coaching U-19 and India A kids by staying in NCA, because those kids need him more.”

Wasim said that Dravid’s coaching is most needed at this time by those players who are in junior cricket. They said,

“I think the coaching and guidance of Rahul Dravid is needed more by the U-19 and India ‘A’ players. Under 19 boys have to cross a stage to get into international cricket. For which the guidance of Rahul Dravid is needed more. The players who have reached international cricket are already very mature.

Wasim also talked about the performance of the Indian Under-19 team. They said,

“Accordingly, good players are coming out from India’s Under-19 team continuously. BCCI has a big hand behind it. The way BCCI has prepared a complete structure for Under-19, it is commendable. But the contribution of Rahul Dravid in this is no less. I don’t think there can be a better coach than him for U-19 and India A at this point of time.

Over the years, players like Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill or Mayank Agarwal have come out of the Indian Under-19 team. There are many such players in the Indian team that went to Sri Lanka. Who has played cricket under the coaching of Rahul Dravid for many years. This tour of India is starting from Tuesday 13 July in which three ODIs and three T20 matches will be played.
